19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his initial trophy for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a difficult period, achieving just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's initial championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since March of that year.
The win also indicates he has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to get a title is particularly special," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, including in the German tournament previously this season.
His retrieving approach and recurring reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to doubt if his capacity to compete at the highest level was over.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete positively, backed up by an enhanced service.
He fought back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped break points in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour victory, took control to create a decider.
The opponent saved four early opportunities in a close third set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched the win with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
